Statement by the Hon. Bruce Lander QC
Independent Commissioner Against Corruption

In October I said publicly that I would prepare a report before the end of this year detailing concerns I have about the administration and delivery of public health services in South Australia.

I have completed that report and in accordance with section 42 of the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption Act 2012 (ICAC Act) I have provided a copy to the President of the Legislative Council (the President), the Speaker of the House of Assembly (the Speaker) and to the Attorney-General.

Section 42(3) of the ICAC Act requires the President and the Speaker to lay the report before their respective Houses on the first sitting day 28 days after receiving the report, or such shorter number of days as the Attorney-General approves.

If the Attorney-General approves, the report may be tabled next week, the last parliamentary sitting week of 2019, otherwise it will not be tabled until 2020.

As soon as the report has been tabled I shall publish a copy on my website icac.sa.gov.au.
