Statement by the Commissioner, the Hon. Ann Vanstone QC

On 1 November 2021 I commenced an evaluation of the practices, policies and procedures of Super SA.

I would like to invite members of the public to provide written submissions relevant to the scope of the evaluation.

The scope of the evaluation is:

  1. The extent to which Super SA’s governance framework adequately guards against the risks of corruption.
  2. Super SA’s practices, policies and procedures in relation to:
    • human resources management (including recruitment)
    • project management
    • contract management

and whether the practices, policies and procedures in these three areas provide adequate measures to guard against corruption.

As Super SA is not responsible for the investment of superannuation funds, this evaluation is not concerned with any matter relating to the investment of those funds.

The evaluation is not an investigation of particular conduct. Should matters arise that require investigation, these will be dealt with separately and in accordance with our legislation.

Written submissions will be accepted until 5:00 pm, Monday 31 January. Submissions can be sent via email to evaluation@icac.sa.gov.au or by post to GPO Box 11066 Adelaide SA 5001.

More information about the evaluation is provided on the Independent Commission Against Corruption website (www.icac.sa.gov.au).
