About the Commission

The Independent Commission Against Corruption (the Commission) is an independent statutory body established to promote integrity within South Australian public administration. The Commission investigates reports of corruption within public administration and actively prevents corruption by undertaking evaluations of the practices, policies and procedures of public agencies. The Commission also delivers education programs which seek to guide the conduct of public officers in the South Australian public sector.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a new Manager Business Services at the Commission. Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, the Manager Business Services leads employees responsible for finance and procurement, human resources, governance and support services to deliver strategic objectives.

The Manager Business Services has overall responsibility for the quality of business, financial and human resources services, including funding and budget management and employee relations. The Manager Business Services also oversees the Commission’s governance and risk management framework and improvement plan.

To be a strong contender for the role you will have demonstrated ability to lead and manage a small team with multi-disciplinary functions, and experience in managing multiple concurrent projects and major tasks.

To be successful in the role you must possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, public administration, human resource management, finance or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing financial processes, end-of-year statements, budgeting and government funding submissions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations and their practical application in a modern corporate workforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, engage employees and manage performance in order to deliver strategic objectives.
  • Sound understanding of the principles of corporate governance and audit processes.
  • High level interpersonal skills including the ability to build and maintain professional relationships and engage key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, organise workload, determine priorities, and use judgement and initiative to manage multiple tasks.

Special conditions

Applicants will be required to undergo psychometric profiling.

Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory security and integrity assessment.

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at Negative Vetting Level 1.
