OUR VISION

A state in which public institutions insist on the highest standards of integrity.

OUR INDEPENDENCE

The Commission is independent. We are not subject to the direction of any person or entity in exercising our powers and carrying out our functions.

Our role, powers and functions are set out in the Independent Commission Against Corruption Act 2012 (SA).

OUR WORK

The Commission’s role is to identify, prevent, and investigate corruption in public administration.

  • We prevent and minimise corruption by educating government agencies and councils about corruption risks, conducting regular workshops in person and online.
  • We identify corruption risk by evaluating the practices, policies and procedures of government and local government agencies, and advise chief executives about how to better detect corruption.
  • We investigate allegations of corruption referred to us by the Office for Public Integrity.

We publish reports on our findings to highlight corruption prevention measures.

We encourage public officers to report corrupt or improper conduct.
